We are driven to deliver projects that support seniors, and provide meaningful engagement opportunities to enhance community belonging while acknowledging their impact on our community.
ELDERS ANGELS PROJECT
- Seniors & Youth Volunteering: Brought together 37 volunteers (18 older adults, 19 youth) to assemble care packages.
- Community Support: Donated 100 essential care packages to three Calgary organizations supporting homeless women, seniors facing abuse, and survivors of human trafficking.
- Education & Awareness: Included educational sessions for volunteers on homelessness, elder abuse, and sexual exploitation to deepen understanding of the populations served.
FOUND: TALES OF CHINESE CANADIAN SETTLERS
- Illustrated Storybook: Depicts the experiences of Chinese-Canadian immigrants in Alberta.
- Themes: Resilience, courage, community, and overcoming adversity.
- Research-Based: Using archives and senior interviews to showcase under-documented stories.
AGING WELL CHRONICLES
- Senior Stories: Inspiring tales of overcoming challenges.
- Combats Isolation: Addresses loneliness through connection.
- Intergenerational: Connects youth and seniors.
- Promotes Healthy Aging: Offers practical advice on healthy, independent living.
