We have over 50 contract based programming employees that help run our organization and deliver our services. Below are some of our main administrative team members.
Mae Chun CEO Mae came to Canada about 30 years ago from Malaysia. In Canada, Mae spent most of her career in the not-for-profit sector, beginning at the front lines in employment counselling and worked her way up to the Chief Executive position. The causes that are near and dear to Mae are senior wellness, immigrant integration and workplace bullying. Mae believes that social innovation is our answer to achieving sustainable change and collective impact in social issues. |
Iman Bukhari DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATION Iman is an award-winning leader and a renowned change-maker, bringing a wealth of expertise in multimedia communications and community engagement. With a Master’s in Multimedia Communications and extensive experience working with marginalized communities, she leads the communications team with passion and purpose. Iman is deeply committed to our mission, having witnessed its transformative impact firsthand. |
Daxton Louie program coordinator Daxton is the driving force behind the seamless integration of technology and operations. He is the architect behind the highly successful Tech Buddy classes, a groundbreaking initiative that empowers participants with essential digital skills. Daxton leverages cutting-edge tools and platforms to enhance efficiency, improve data management, and support the organization's mission. |
Nancy Zhao Finance coordinator Nancy brings a wealth of expertise in finance and budgeting, providing strategic oversight and meticulous financial management. With a strong background in accounting and a sharp eye for detail, she ensures fiscal responsibility, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. Nancy’s dedication to transparency and efficiency empowers the organization to achieve its mission while maintaining financial health. |
Ethan Mah data specialist Ethan’s well-honed data management skills have been invaluable in organizing the relentlessly growing volume of information from our robust intake rates. Besides database management, Ethan also assists in special projects and fund development. 
Sou Wah program administrator Your first line of contact will likely be Sou. Her multilingual skills comes in handy along with dedicated commitment to answering all enquiries to the best of her ability. |
Jane Xu program manager With a background in Visual Studies and Education, Jane is a Calgary-based teacher who helps facilitate our programs that engage local communities through the arts. She also supports the coordination of summer classes and special community events. |
Junyi Bu program manager Junyi is a teacher based in Calgary who collaborates closely with our team to develop and implement community programs throughout the year. Junyi loves teaching senior students, organizing special events, and painting. |
Gigi Liang AdmINistration and program assistant Gigi provides a supportive role in all administration related duties. Her multilingual skills are ideally suited to direct communication functions with our senior population. Gigi is directly involved in all aspects of programs and activities coordination. |
