Tech Buddies: Seniors, Students, and the Power of Connection

2/4/2026

Last month, our "Tech Buddy" pilot program at the Lakeview Community Association was more than just a success—it was a joyful, buzzing hub of intergenerational learning.

We watched with pride as enthusiastic students from Connect Charter School patiently sat alongside older adults, guiding them through the world of smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The room was filled not just with questions about apps and settings, but with laughter, shared stories, and mutual respect. The seniors gained invaluable digital confidence, while the students discovered the reward of sharing their knowledge and connecting with a different generation.

This is the heart of what we do. Intergenerational learning bridges gaps, builds community, and reminds us that everyone has something to teach and something to learn. It transforms a simple tech lesson into a meaningful human connection, and the results are truly beautiful.

Want to join our growing Tech Buddy community? We have more classes coming up!
