FREE - Joyland Film Screening + Panel Discussion: September 7, 2025

Join us for a FREE community-led screening of the award-winning film Joyland on Sunday, September 7 at the Calgary Central Library Theatre (800 3 St SE). Doors open at 1PM and the screening starts exactly at 1:30 PM. This poignant story follows the youngest son of a traditional Pakistani family as he takes a job as a backup dancer in a Bollywood-style burlesque and falls for the strong-willed trans woman who leads the troupe. A powerful exploration of identity, desire, and family expectations, Joyland has captivated audiences worldwide.
